Our factory was born in 1968 from a Paolo Talarico’s idea. He stopped to be a farmer and he opened a business activities in a butcher shop in the old town of San Giovanni in Fiore. After many years of sacrifices, Paolo, with the help of his Maria Italia, opened another store in “Palla Palla”, another part of San Giovanni . In 1979, his children Franco e Salvatore, entered into commercial activities and in 1990 his son Mario also entered into this business. So has born our actual society: TALARICO FRANCO & Snc
It is elegant and particular, there you can find not only meats, but also you can find salumi, cheese many typical calabrian products: it is a very warm environment place.
Our products, soppressate, salsiccie, and other salamis, became so popular that it became necessary to create a small very efficient salami factory. The factory is independent from the original butcher shop. It’s name is “SALUMIFICIO FRATELLI TALERICO”. Th factory is situaded in the heart of the Sila’s mountains in San Giovanni in Fiore (1100m). Professinalism and high quality of the products offered to our clients are of outmost importance to us. Our products have a particular taste because we only use calabrian controlled meat and local pepper mixed with Silanes herbs. Our goal is to infuse the local traditions of our people with new and innovative tastes.
